Boston Virtuosi*

"These two outstanding musicians take the guitar piano duet to the highest level, playing with power, passion and virtuosic wit. They don’t accompany each other in the traditional sense, so much as they melt together into one inspired voice." - WICN.ORG Radio.

About the Event

PLEASE NOTE: The concert begins at 4:00, not 7:30, as previously published.

Grammy-Award-winning Claudio Ragazzi teams up with Boston Virtuosi members for this exciting concert. Boston Virtuosi, a musical ensemble comprised of Boston free-lance musicians who are long-time colleagues and friends, is based in Boston's creative Fort Point Channel in the Seaport District. Members perform with the Boston Pops, Ballet and other well-known performing arts organizations throughout New England. Boston Virtuosi has presented events with the Fort Point Arts Community, Boston Properties Major Fort Point Channel events, the Boston Convention Center and the Caspian Lakes Monday Music Festival, to name a few.

Boston Virtuosi is an eclectic, innovative ensemble. Their programming ranges from Haydn to World Music, to newly commissioned and multi-media works, and invariably circles back to the heart of their classical repertoire.  They enjoy ongoing collaborations with the wonderfully talented artists who have made Fort Point Channel a special place. Fort Point is a community of people who love the arts. Residents and artists cannot help but create an exciting, evolving environment by their association with one another. Boston Virtuosi intends to become a catalyst and partner in this process.

Nando Michelin also joins the ensemble for this concert, playing an exciting blend of contemporary Tango, Jazz and South American music. Claudio and Nando both teach at the famous Berklee College of Music. Ragazzi won a Grammy Award in 2018 for his CD with famous jazz musician Pablo Zeigler.
